GROUP DESCRIPTION
Its a 4th
grade group. There are 18 kids. 11 girls and 7 boys. Most of them are nine
years old.
They are
very active children and most like movement and action. Although they listen
carefully and understand what they are taught; sometimes they get distracted.
They have a great capacity to memorise and love to learn songs. They have a lot
of imagination and love to draw when asked to do so.
Most of them are very outgoing and like to participate in the class most of the time. There are two boys who find it hard to be attentive in class and constantly move around the class. There are also two very shy girls but they like English and enjoy participating in the language activities. I give them English classes all Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 am to 9.45 am. Most of them are very enthusiastic with the class although sometimes is difficult for me to give the whole class in English as this is the first year they learn English, so sometimes I have to speak in Spanish and allow them to use their first language to keep the motivation high as there are moments they tell me they don’t understand what is going on.
